Applications are invited for two posts of Assistant Professor in the Population Research Centre in the scale of pay of Rs. 15,600-39,100 with AGP: 6,000/- and admissible allowances from time to time. Housing is available on IEG campus for the selected faculty, subject to availability.
Essential Qualifi cations: Good academic record with at least a High Second Class Master's Degree in Economics/Sociology/Demography/Statistics. Persons with an M.Phil/Ph.D., with research experience in the areas of population, migration, labour, health and human resource development will be given preference. Preference will also be given to persons with experience in organizing field surveys. The candidate should have good Computer skills, knowledge of statistical packages, and good writing skills. The Institute may also consider suitable candidates who have not applied. It can also decide not to fill up the positions if no suitable persons are found. Other things being equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates will be preferred.
