FACULTY POSITIONS AT IEG IN ENVIRONMENT AND DEVELOPMENT
The Institute of Economic Growth (IEG) seeks applications for the faculty positions in environment and development, under the Institute's Think Tank Initiative (TTI). Appointments will be for up to 3 years, extendable if the scheme continues,
(1) One Professor/Associate Professor. Pay Scale for Professor: Rs. 37,000-67,000 GP Rs. 10,000 plus other allowances as per the Institute's rules (Total emoluments at minimum scale will be approx Rs. 1,00,700). Pay Scale for Associate Professor: Rs. 37,000-67,000, GP Rs. 9,000 plus other allowances as per the
Institute's rules (Total emoluments at minimum scale will be approx Rs. 88,800). Candidates should indicate whether the application is for Professor or Associate Professor.
(2) One Assistant Professor. Pay Scale: Rs. 15,600-39,100, GP Rs. 6,000 plus other allowances as per the Institute's rule (Total emoluments at minimum scale will be approximately Rs. 43,900).Qualifications: An outstanding academic record and a Ph.D in Economics, Political Science or other social sciences, or environment law. Applicants from other related fields will also be considered. Publications in reputed international journals or significant books will be given substantial weight.
The Institute can consider suitable candidates even if they have not applied, and it may decide not to fill the positions, if circumstances so warrant. Other things being equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates will be preferred.
