Post-Doctoral Fellow & Research Associate Positions for EADS-SMI Endowed Chair for Sourcing & Supply Management
Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), a premier business school in the Asia Pacific region has established the EADS - SMI Endowed Chair for Sourcing & Supply Management to pursue focused research & development in these areas. In addition to applied research, the activities of the chair include case writing, development of educational material and dissemination through workshops, conferences involving practitioners and researchers
The EADS -SMI Chair is seeking applicants for the positions of Post Doctoral Research Fellow and Research Associate. The chair provides exciting opportunities for research scholars to engage in applied research in the area of sourcing, procurement and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
Post-Doctoral Fellow: The candidate must have completed PhD degree or expect its completion within six months of starting the appointment.
Research Associate: The candidates should have completed post-graduate degree in related disciplines and / or MBAs.
Preference will be given to candidates who have strong Operations/ Supply Chain Management/ Operations Research background and are working in the above areas.
Responsibilities: The person's responsibilities would include assisting the Chair Professors research activities and case writing projects in the areas of Sourcing and Supply Chain Management. Opportunities to pursue research projects independently or under the guidance of the faculty are available. The person will also be actively involved in conferences and workshops conducted by the chair.
Compensation: We offer a consolidated salary of Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month, depending on the qualifications and experience.
Duration of the assignment: One year, extendable by one more year.
