Chair Professor, Apeejay Surrendra Chair in Family Business & Entrepreneurship
The Apeejay Surrendra Group has established the Apeejay Surrendra Chair in Family Business & Entrepreneurship at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) in order to carry out research and analysis in the area of family-run businesses, and to identify their contribution to and impact on globalization and similar areas.
The Apeejay Surrendra Chair Professor is expected to carry out research, engage in publication, create thought leadership, establish a platform for alliances and partnerships with other like-minded organisations/institutions & dissemination of knowledge through national and international seminars/summits, management development and other programmes. The Chair Professor will also interact with the Chair Sponsor. She/he should have proven experience and demonstrated contribution in the areas of business strategy, management as well as entrepreneurship.
The selected candidate will be a leading academic or the holder of an equivalent position in a relevant governmental, NGO or commercial organisation. She/he will have a distinguished record of research and publication as well as teaching and/or industry experience.
The Chair Professor will be appointed for an initial period of three years, and such tenure may be further extended. The Chair carries competitive compensation and research and travel support.
