The Academic Internship Program (AIP) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) provides an opportunity for young and qualified professionals to gain teaching and research skills by working closely with the faculty.

Qualifications: Masters degree in Management, Social Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or other relevant discipline. Bachelor degree holders in Engineering with at least two years of work experience will be considered too.

Note: The qualification to apply for QMIS is a Masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics or related field.

Individuals registered for a Ph.D. are encouraged to apply.

Stipend: An all-inclusive monthly stipend ranging between Rs. 13,000/- and Rs. 20,000/- pm. depending on qualifications and experience and HRA Rs. 3,000/- pm.

Other benefits: Reimbursement of Insurance premium paid for self under specified health Insurance schemes upto Rs. 50,000/-.

Duration of the assignment: Upto two years. If enrolled for Ph.D. extension beyond 3 years, upon strong recommendation from Area Chair of good performance.

Leave of Absence: For a maximum of 30 days per year for (personal work, examinations, research work- if registered for Ph.D.)

Task: - Support 4 courses (preferably 2 sections of two courses) in which preference must be given to Core courses and then large enrollment electives

• Schedule the above courses over two terms and not over all three terms

• Assist faculty in course design. Identification, preparation of course material &grading

• Provide research assistance to faculty

Research Activity: - Pursue their own research parallel with the Institute's activities

• Attend Conference held in the Institute and outside

• One National Conference
