Research Assistant for the RBI Chair in Economics at IIM Bangalore
The Reserve Bank of India has established the RBI Chair in Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore with a view to identify and analyze policy issues in this area in order to promote economic development through enhanced quality of decision processes on policies through research and promotion of higher levels of learning in monetary and financial economics, banking and real sector issues. The RBI Chair Professor is expected to lead policy-oriented research as well as disseminate this knowledge by publishing and teaching in programmes at IIMB.
Qualifications/Experience Needed:
Research Assisstant (RA) will have at least a Master's degree (with courses in economics, econometrics, statistics) and 2-3 years of experience. Basic knowledge of econometrics and a statistical package is essential; prior experience with time series data work will be an asset. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year on Contract basic, and would be renewable depending on the RA's performance; salary will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
