, has successfully been functioning since past 8 years as one of the nodal institutions for public health education, advocacy, research and
practice by providing quality public health training to graduates of diverse disciplines. Apart from conducting full time academic courses,
we also have been organizing several short term trainings. As a part of 'Workshop Series 2014-2015' we are inviting applications for a four day workshop on *'Skills for Implementing Adolescent Health Programmes'* scheduled on *January 6 - 9, 2015.*
Adolescence is a critical phase of life in which an individual undergoes physical, cognitive and emotional changes. One fifth of the
Indian population comprises of adolescents, a significant population whose health status is a key determinant of the country's overall
development. This group has specific health issues and needs which calls for concerted attention and action. Planning and implementation
of health programs for adolescents require specific skills and adoption of approaches to encourage involvement of adolescents in the
programs, to understand their issues and to enable them adopt healthy lifestyle and practices. The training workshop will strengthen the competency-knowledge and skills of participants in using various approaches while planning and implementing adolescent health programs.

in teaching Adolescent Health programs.

*Key Resource Faculty:*
*Ms. Anjali Singh*, Associate Professor, IIPH Delhi
Ms. Anjali Singh who is a faculty at the institute will be the key resource faculty. She was awarded Future Faculty Fellowship to do MPH
from Melbourne University, Australia. Anjali has 14 years of progressive work experience in the area of public health including
RCH, HIV/AIDS and adolescent health programs. Currently she is involved in teaching, training and research in public health. Anjali
is currently Faculty Lead for the Certificate course in STI and HIV/AIDS and has contributed in development of the course. Her areas
of interest are Reproductive and Child Health, Adolescents, STI and HIV/AIDS and Behaviour Change Communication.
*Dr. Jyoti Sharma*, Associate Professor, IIPH Delhi
Dr. Jyoti Sharma holds a PhD in Nutrition, she is a fellow of future faculty programme of PHFI/ Wellcome trust. As a future faculty fellow
she completed M.Sc. in Public health from University of Edinburgh and training in Nutrition Epidemiology from Imperial College, London. At
Indian Institute of Public Health Delhi, she is faculty lead for Distance Learning Diploma in Public Health Nutrition. Her areas of interest are maternal and child health and adolescent health, Public Health Nutrition.
