FACULTY POSITIONS AT IEG
The Institute of Economic Growth (IEG) seeks applications for One Assistant Professor in Environment and Development Economics, Macroeconomics, International Trade & Finance, Globalisation, Industrial Economics, and Population Studies. An outstanding researcher in ?elds other than these will also be considered in the Pay Scale of Rs.15,600-39,100, GP Rs.6,000 plus other allowances as per the Institute's rules (Total emoluments at minimum scale will be approximately Rs.43,900), under the Institute's Think Tank Initiative (TTI). Appointments will be up to August 2014, extendable if the scheme continues.
Quali?cations: An outstanding academic record and a Ph.D in Economics or related areas. Publications in reputed journals or signi?cant books will be given substantial weight.
The Institute can consider suitable candidates even if they have not applied, and it may decide not to ?ll the position, if circumstances so warrant. Only short-listed candidates will be called for interview. Other things being equal, SC/ST/OBC candidates will be preferred.
