Call for papers on Globalization, Agrarian Economy and Environmental Challenges in India @ Viswabharati University

CALL FOR PAPER

Department of Economics and Politics, Visva-Bharati is going to organize a two-day conference under it's DRS-SAP programme on "Globalization, Agrarian Economy and Environmental Challenges in India" during 15-16 March, 2012. Papers are invited on following themes though the list is not exhaustive:

1. Performance of the agrarian economy in India since liberalization.

2. Capital investment and problem of rural credit in agriculture.

3. Agricultural Labour and the problems of employment / unemployment.

4. Political economy of agrarian change? What is happening? What are the alternatives? What is the future?

5. Climate Change (CC) and Indian agriculture.

6. Sustainability issues in rural economy.

7. Rural institutions and natural resource management.

Last date of submission of full papers: 15th January, 2012.

Intimation about the acceptance of paper: 1st February, 2012

Papers should be written in MS-WORD format along with an abstract not exceeding 250 words with JEL classifications and keywords and the top page of the paper should contain full corresponding address of the author(s) along with e-mail and telephone numbers. Papers should be submitted to the Conveners, Seminar Organizing Committee at [email protected] organizers will provide local hospitality to the outstation paper presenters on request but no TA/DA will be provided. The registration fee for the participants is Rupees One Thousand Only. An edited volume would be published through double blind review process.
