Today at the Extension Operations Council meeting, I learned of this interesting conference opportunity. Proposals for this conference are due on April 11. This is an important meeting of its kind--NCSU was the host in 2010, and is a working member of the consortium that sponsors this activity. Participants will also have the opportunity to publish their papers in this Journal of Higher Education Outreach and Engagement. The web site for this conference is http://www.nosc2012.ua.edu/
As you may know, NCSU was one of only five institutions recognized this year with a Presidential Award for Community service (http://news.ncsu.edu/releases/service-award2012/). This award also earned NCSU with a very favorable editorial in today's N&O: http://www.newsobserver.com/2012/03/14/1929145/ncsu-service-leader.html
