Position 1: Tenured or tenure-track faculty positions in Political Science- Comparative Politics, Political Economy (Rank open)

Ashoka University's Department of Political Science seeks to hire scholars of Comparative Politics and Political Economy, specializing in South Asia, rank open, beginning January 2016. Must have the ability/ willingness to teach a course in qualitative and quantitative research methods, and ability to mentor students in the same. Teaching load is two courses per semester. Compensation and research support unparalleled in India. PhD must be in hand by time of appointment

Position 2: Economics faculty positions at Ashoka University

The goal of the Department of Economics in Ashoka University is to build a vibrant faculty which excels in both teaching and research. We aim to become a leading research department in the region, in addition to building world class graduate and undergraduate programs in Economics. We will be recruiting several faculty positions at all ranks this year. While applications in all fields are invited, candidates specializing in Macroeconomics, Finance, industrial organization, are particularly welcome. Applicants must hold, or be close to completing, a PhD as well as possess teaching experience appropriate to rank. In addition, we require a clear demonstration of research potential. Those applying for Assistant Professorships may demonstrate this by a strong doctoral dissertation and research papers. Applicants for Associate or full Professorships must have a proven track record of publications. The university provides a very generous pay package including research budgets. Department representatives will attend the ASSA meeting in San Francisco to hold initial interviews. We will continue to accept applications till the positions are filled. All appointments will start from the beginning of the academic year 2016-17.
