We hereby invite you to present your research or innovative policy program at our Conference Dynamic Deltas, taking place April 17-20, 2012 in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.
This conference focuses on safety and sustainability in rural delta regions throughout the world. An essential component will be economic cases regarding food production under climate change.
This conference provides an opportunity to share your findings, meet people oriented to the future of research and policy regarding safety and sustainability in rural delta areas. Conference staff will be looking for presentations that may qualify for publication in peer reviewed journals.
Among the conference's subjects are: restoration of estuaries, ecological aquaculture, agriculture in saline conditions and tidal energy. There will be opportunities to present findings on such matters as flood-prone deltas and ecosystem goods & services in coastal regions. Also sought are research results on designing deltas, making them safe, resilient and vital.
Scientific presentations will be the centrepiece of this conference. The conference also aims to draw attention to new knowledge useful in making decisions by government, business and non-governmental organizations. Out of the scientific presentations, session chairs will be asked to draw conclusions of potential relevance to public policy and public governance. These conclusions will presented to decision makers at Policy Session.
