Educational Approaches for Integrating  Bioinformatics into Computer and Life Science

The International Conference on Computational  Science aims to bring together annually scientists interested in pioneering advanced application of computational methods to sciences such as physics, chemistry, and biology as well as to engineering, arts and humanitarian fields.

The intent of this workshop is to provide a venue for educators and researchers from the life and computer sciences to explore the integration of bioinformatics into the life sciences as well as strategies for presenting bioinformatics as an interesting problem domain for computer
scientists.  Also of interest are innovative ways of introducing bioinformatics as a scientific
discipline and possible career path to pre-college students and teachers.  Submissions pertaining to all levels of instruction, from course modules to entire curricula, will be welcomed.  An expanded list of topics can be found on the workshops page of the ICCS 2012 website (http://www.iccs-meeting.org).

Select papers will be published in Elsevier's  Procedia Computer Science series.

Submissions will be done electronically through the conference's paper submission system.  The deadline for abstracts/proposals is 16 January  2012.
