Food-first Information & Action Network (FIAN) Nepal

FIAN Nepal is seeking a Research Officer (Climate Change and Right to Food) ? 1 position, based in FIAN Nepals Regional Office in Nepalgunj, with regular field visits and lead the longer term initiative on "effects of climate change from the human right to food perspective" and advocacy of CC /RtF related policies and practices through research-based findings.

Required Qualifications and Experiences:

-Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Natural Resource Management (Environmental Science, Forestry Agriculture, etc.) and 3 years of work experience related to climate change research and advocacy.

-Preference will be given to candidate having Master's degree in Environmental Science with research experiences on climate change issue with at least 1 year of related work experience.

-Research (conceptual, design, data collection, analysis etc.) skills

-Proficient in using computer software to analyse research data /findings.

-Strong communication and writing skills, both in English and Nepali languages.

-Demonstrated capacity to plan, priority and deliver the task on time to meet goals self motivated environment independently and in teams and partners

-Experiences of facilitating communities and stakeholder meetings / trainings on CC, adaptation /practices and related issues
