Applications are invited for the following posts for a Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences, Department of Atomic Energy (BRNS?DAE), Government of India sponsored research project titled ?Baseline Study of Flora Fauna at proposed uranium mining site at Gogi, Gulbarga district, Karnataka? in the CEENR, Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC) (www.isec.ac.in).
1. Junior Research Fellow (3 posts)
2. Technical Assistant (2 posts)
Qualifications:
1. Junior Research Fellow
Essential:
M.Sc. in Botany, Zoology consistently good academic record.
Desirable:
a. UGC-CSIR NET qualified candidate will be given preference.
b. Knowledge on Angiosperms; Gymnosperms; Pteridophytes; Bryophytes; Lichens; Algae and Phytoplankton for the student from MSc in Botany
c. Knowledge on Non-chordates or Invertebrates (Annelids, Arthropods Mollusca) and Chordates for the students from MSc Zoology
d. Should have the good field knowledge
2. Technical Assistant
Essential:
Bachelor or Master degree in Remote Sensing and GIS (or diploma in remote sensing and GIS
from the recognized Institutions) for one post and B.E./ B.Tech/M.Tech along with Knowledge
of database management or BSc or Ecological Economics/Environmental Science background
for the other position.
The number of positions of Technical Assistant may increase or decrease at the time of interview.
Duration:
These positions are purely temporary. The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of six months initially and on satisfactory performance extendable to 2 years. Good knowledge of Computers and Programming is a requirement for both the research positions.
Age Limit: Normally below 30 years.
Emoluments:
o Junior Research Fellow - Rs.12,000/- per month
o Technical Assistant - Rs.10,000/- per month
