O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) is a non-profit, private university, located within the National Capital Region of Delhi, India. It is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) of India. The vision of JGU is to promote teaching and research with a global perspective, academic freedom, liberal and critical thinking.
The first three Schools of JGU - Jindal Global Law School, Jindal Global Business School and Jindal School of International Affairs - offer B.A. LL.B. (Hons), LL.B., LL.M., M.B.A. and M.A. in Diplomacy, Law and Business (M.A. DLB) programmes.
JGU has established its fourth School, the Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP).JSGP aims to be an intellectually vibrant place where policy issues can be deliberated and debated in a non-dogmatic, non-partisan and ideologically plural way and in a collegial environment. It aspires to be a centre of excellence, which will generate knowledge and ideas about development and thereby play a crucial role in the policymaking processes in India and the rest of the world.
The Jindal School of Government and Public Policy will offer an M.A. in Public Policy programme from August 2012.
The Jindal School of Government and Public Policy invites applications from suitable candidates. Faculty members will teach courses and conduct scholarly research at JSGP's research centres. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and a track record of research and publications in the following thematic areas: Ethics of Policymaking, Macroeconomics, Financial Economics, Fiscal and Monetary Policy, Institutional Economics, Environment, Agrarian Economy and Food Security, Urban Studies, Social Welfare and Social Security, Public Leadership, and Management of Public Institutions and Services.
Applications from candidates with a Masters degree will be accepted provided they have outstanding research accomplishments or professional experience. International educational qualifications and teaching and research experience are highly desirable. JGU is an equal opportunity employer.
