Applications are invited from suitable candidates in the prescribed format
for the Faculty positions of Professors, Associate Professors and Assistant
Professors in the Schools of Communication, School of Environment & Natural
Resources, School of Management, School of Social Sciences and School of
Languages.



Duly completed Applications in all respect along with a Demand Draft of Rs.
1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of "Doon University"
payable at Dehradun should be sent to the Registrar, Doon University. For
each Post separate Application should be sent along with all the documents
and the Application Fee (Non-refundable).



In-service candidates should send their Applications through proper channel.
However, an Advance Copy of Application could be sent along with the
prescribed Fee which should reach the University on or before the closing
date.



The University reserves the right to:

(i)                           short-list the candidates on the basis of
merit if the number of applicants is considered large for the purpose of
inviting them for interview,

(ii)                         ask candidates invited for interview to make
power point presentations in their respective disciplines before the members
of the Selection Committee and other concerned,

(iii)                       to appoint candidates on contractual basis in
case no suitable candidates are found. The qualifications/norms for
contractual appointments shall be as per the conditions approved by the
University.

(iv)                       not to fill up any or all the posts advertised
without giving any reason thereof.



           The University is fully residential and has residential facility
available for the faculty in the Campus. The present Campus is located in a
beautiful ambience and is well connected with the centre of the City
(Dehradun) which is approximately 07 km. The city is fully connected with
rail, air and road to other parts of the country.



Those who have applied earlier for Faculty positions i.e. Professors and
Associate Professors in response to Employment Notice No. 1/2008 need not
apply again. However, they may submit their updated *Curriculum Vitae *before
the closing date.



The reservation shall be provided for Woman, SC, ST and OBC candidates
belonging to Uttarakhand state only along with horizontal reservation as per
the rules of Uttarakhand Government. Such candidates from other states shall
be considered only under un-reserved category.



The Selection Committee may recommend higher salary to highly deserving
candidates and may consider applications of candidates from abroad in
absentia. The retirement benefits shall be as per the Uttarakhand Government
Orders issued from time to time as adopted by the University.



All disputes regarding the recruitment are subject to district of Dehradun
(Uttarakhand) jurisdiction.

qualification, should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET)
conducted by UGC or similar test accredited by the UGC.



Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D.
degree in compliance of the "University Grants Commission (minimum standards
and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulations 2009, shall be exempt
from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET for
recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions

declared equivalent to MBA by AICTE/AIU with 10 years experience in
teaching/industry/research out of which five years must be at the level of
Associate Professor.

Candidates from Industry/Profession with First Class Master's degree in

candidates belonging to SC/ST or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point
scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, &F at the Master's degree level in the
relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a
foreign University.

2.      Candidates should have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET)
for Assistant Professor conducted by the UGC/CSIR or similar test accredited
by the UGC.

*Note*: *(1)* NET qualification shall remain the minimum eligibility
condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor, provided,
however, candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D degree in compliance
