Indian Institute of Management Udaipur (IIMU) invites application from candidates with exceptional academic background for faculty positions at multiple levels (Assistant and Associate Professor) and across various academic disciplines.
IIMs were established by the Government of India with the aim of attracting the brightest and the best intellectual talent in the country and training them to create world class leaders and managers. IIM Udaipur, the youngest IIM, was set up in 2011 and aims to set new benchmarks in delivering quality education and disseminating knowledge. Set in the picturesque backdrop of Udaipur, one the best tourist attractions of India, the institute strives to be a thought leader on research problems that confront leading corporates and policy planners in India. Through its research, IIMU hopes to develop intellectual capital that can deliver on the critical challenges faced by corporate leaders as well as governments, in India and abroad.
IIM Udaipur values both quality scholarship and teaching; therefore applicants for higher level positions must have an established record of excellence in both research and teaching. Candidates at the entry level must demonstrate capability in carrying out high quality research and should have either completed or be in the final stages of their Ph.D. IIMU hopes to hire young faculty who will be given the highest level of support in terms of all requisite resources as well as a nurturing environment to grow in. IIMU has a collaborative as well as supportive culture that is essential for the success of any new faculty member.
IIM Udaipur is committed to the concept of faculty governance and faculty body play an important role in policy formulation. Since the institute is at the inception stage, founding faculty will also have an opportunity to play a critical role in shaping the vision of the institute.
At present, IIM Udaipur operates from the Mohan Lal Sukhadia University Campus, Udaipur. The new campus would be a huge one, being spread across 250 acres and would have state of the art infrastructure with the right mix of Udaipur heritage and modern architecture.
