International Management Institute, Kolkata (IMI-K) has a mission to earn global recognition as a
centre of excellence in management education. The Institute will offer a regular two-year postgraduate
diploma programme and executive development programmes founded on applicable managerial best
practices and research. Initially, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management, equivalent to an MBA
degree, will be offered from July 2011. Focus of the programme is on general management and
business leadership. The curriculum includes contemporary issues relevant to emerging sectors, such
as Retail.
IMI-K has been set up with a sizeable investment by a well-known industrial group of India with

Positions: Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor
Areas: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Marketing, Organizational Behavior & HR, Operations, Strategy
Essential qualifi cations: First class in the last university examination and PhD from a well-known
university/institute or Fellow from an IIM. Young scholars who have submitted their thesis and are
awaiting award of the PhD degree may also apply.
Experience: Relevant experience in teaching and research as well as student supervision at the post
graduate level is desirable. Relevant managerial experience in private and public sector companies
will also be considered in lieu of academic experience for appointment at the level of Associate
Professor/Professor. IMI-K provides an excellent research environment and all faculty members are
expected to be research-active, and would need to publish in major journals in their fi elds.
