Eighth International Conference on Economics and Finance
Theme: "Governance and Wellbeing"
Venue: IBS Bangalore, India
Date: January 19-20, 2012
It is increasingly realized that good governance is imperative for achieving higher order of growth. Given the fact that growth by itself does not guarantee wellbeing, we need good governance to achieve wellbeing. Economic growth accompanied by good governance can play a vital role in enhancing wellbeing. Thus, an efficient structure of governance assumes special significance to induce growth and ensure wellbeing. This is a challenge across the globe. Keeping this in view, this Conference aims at bringing together scholars under the central theme of 'Governance and Wellbeing'.This is the Eighth successive conference organized by IBS Bangalore (IBSB), with a view to provide a platform for researchers in Economics and Finance areas. Original Papers in the following areas are invited.

2. Financial Innovations
3. Financial Markets & Instruments
4. Banking, Insurance and Mutual Funds
5. Micro Finance Institutions
6. Commodities Markets
7. Corporate Finance
8. Corporate Governance and Engagements
9. International Accounting and Taxation
10. Risk Management
Publication of Papers:
All papers submitted will be reviewed through double blind review process and paper accepted for presentation will be published in the Conference Proceedings. Subsequently, a few selected papers will be published in an edited volume, subject to the transfer of copyright by the author.

Submission of Abstract : By October 15, 2011 Information of Acceptance of Paper : By November 30, 2011
Submission of Full Paper : By November 25, 2011 Conference Dates : January 19-20, 2012
Registration Fee: INR 2000/- (For participant from India) USD 150/- (For participant from Abroad) DD/Cheque favoring 'IBS Bangalore',
payable at Bangalore, and duly completed Registration Form, should be sent to the Conference Coordinator, along with full paper.
