CDS Invites applications for admission to its full-time residential programme leading to Mphil in Applied Economics of the Jawaharlal Nehru University. This research based Programme will Commence on July 27, 2010.
CDS is looking for candidates with good academic performance and research aptitude/interest. The programme has seen participation from almost all regions of the nation.
Eligibility to Apply:
Masters in Economics/ other Social Sciences/ Humanities/Law with >=55% or in Sciences/Technology/Life Sciences with >= 60%.
Financial Assistance through CDS Mphil Fellowships.

CDS Invites applications for admission to its full-time residential programme leading to Mphil in Applied Economics of the Jawaharlal Nehru University. This research based Programme will Commence on July 27, 2010.
CDS is looking for candidates with good academic performance and research aptitude/interest. The programme has seen participation from almost all regions of the nation.
- Programme allows multi-disciplinary intake; those having non-economics background as well can apply.
- The Programme has two-semester course-work and a dissertation. The Coursework in quantitative techniques, economic theory and Indian economic issues- has electives to facilitate diverse research interests.
- Candidates can choose to be considered for provisional enrolment for PhD in Economics, either after the coursework or the full programme, on meeting the requirements

Eligibility to Apply:
Masters in Economics/ other Social Sciences/ Humanities/Law with >=55% or in Sciences/Technology/Life Sciences with >= 60%.
- Those Awaiting results of the qualifying examination can also apply.
- SC, ST & PH (with > 40% disability ) candidates eligible irrespective of percentage of marks.
- Statutory reservations for SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer) & PH (>=40% disability)
- Foreign nationals and officials nominated by the Government of Kerala will be considered seperately.
