Just a quick reminder to let you know that the 2nd annual Asia-Pacific
conference on Computer-Aided Qualitative Research will be held on the 24-25
Feb 2011 in Macau. This event is organised by Merlien Institute and sponsored
by SAGE publications, ATLAS.ti and University of Macau.

This highly interactive conference will provide a unique platform for
researchers, practitioners and trainers to discuss, debate and brainstorm the
use of software for accelerating and reporting qualitative research.

The conference format will consist of interactive workshops, submitted
(reviewed) presentations, invited speeches as well as group discussion
sessions. A representative from ATLAS.ti will also be present during the
coffee breaks to answer any questions you may have about the software. As with
past events, the conference will provide excellent opportunities
for participants to network with peers.

Topics that will be discussed and debated during the conference include:
-Implications of software choice on methodology and practical utility
-Comparing major qualitative software tools: strength and shortcomings
-How to work effectively in teams while using QDA software
-Defining the criteria for deciding which software to use for data analysis
-Exploring new techniques of analysing multimedia data e.g. audio, video
-Using software to enhance the efficiency of qualitative data analysis
-How to write up the analysis process and putting together a report?
