Vacancy for the post of Lecturer and Reader
A. N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies Patna, an inter disciplinary research institute enacted
and financed by the Govt. of Bihar and recognized and supported by the ICSSR, has been
doing pioneering research with a focus on development and change. Institute invites application
for the post of Lecturer and Reader in Social Sciences-Economics, Political Science, Sociology,
Psychology and Statistics. Roster rules of government of Bihar are applicable. As follows:
1. Lecturer: SC-2, ST-1, EBC-1, BC1-1 and General-1.
2. Reader: General-1
Essential Qualifications: UGC Norms would be applicable.
Desirable additional qualifications: Candidate for the post of Lecturer and Reader should
have published recently at least one/two Research papers in a reputed professional peer
reviewed journal respectively. Preference will be given to the candidates with better quality
of publication evidence.
Candidate should submit a publishable paper with methodological rigour on his/her area of
specialization and interest for seminar presentation and a proposal of work plan for next two
years along with CV attached with self attested copies of certificates, experiences, achievements
and credentials to work independently with name of two referees, etc. through proper channel.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to give a seminar on his submitted paper at the Institute
before a screening committee. Only screened candidates will be interviewed. Any canvassing
or influence in this regard will be liable to disqualification.
