ICSSS 2014 Featured Speaker
Christine Baugh

Christine Baugh is a Research Instructor in the Department of Neurology at the Boston University School of Medicine and the Research Coordinator at the Boston University Center CTE Center. In addition to her day-to-day research activities, Christine is interested in the long-term effects of repetitive brain trauma. More specifically, she is interested in how policy measures can be enacted to help reduce overall brain trauma load and protect those at risk, particularly youth athletes.

Christine graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Science and a certificate from Harvard's Mind, Brain, and Behavior program. While at Harvard, Christine was a four-year varsity letter winner and the 2009-2010 captain of the women's rowing team. In 2012, she completed her Master's in Public Health (MPH) at Boston University School of Public Health, focusing in Health Law, Bioethics, and Human Rights. During her MPH, Christine won multiple awards for her work focused on concussions in youth sports.

In 2013, Christine was awarded a Fellowship at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government's Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics. Through this fellowship, Christine plans to examine the differential implementation of concussion management policies across NCAA football teams.
