Essential Qualifications:
1. Candidates must have a M.A and M.Phil degree in Social Sciences (Preferably Population Studies, Geography and Regional Development)
2. At least three years of research experience in PhD or equivalent.
3. Should have experience in conducting field survey, primary data collection, analyses and representation.
4. Candidate should have a thorough understanding of urban problems and a good command over English with excellent writing skills
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Expertise in GIS mapping, data handling in SPSS and other software packages.
2. Knowledge of Bengali and Hindi.
3. Willing to travel and stay in Kolkata during field work.
