New academic opportunities from the UNCTAD Virtual Institute

Dear Vi friends,

I am pleased to forward the following academic offers proposed by Virtual Institute members and partners in Spain. I hope you find them of interest.

Vi core Spanish member, the University of Barcelona, is offering Vi members two partial scholarships for its "Master en Estudios Internacionales."

Launched in 1989, the 10-module programme (October 2013 - November 2014) is aimed at postgraduate students who want to specialize in the study of the international society from a multidisciplinary perspective.  Very good oral and written skills in Spanish are required. Part of the programme may be followed at a distance (as of June/July).

Interested candidates should fill out the application form at http://www.ub.edu/mei/en/solicitud-de-admision/, and upload the required documents (in a .zip file) by May 15. To qualify for the scholarships, Vi members must enter "Virtual Institute scholarship" in the field titled "Observaciones." In the "Carta exposición de motivos por los cuales se desea realizar el Máster," please also indicate your interest in the scholarship.

The UNCTAD Virtual Institute and its Spanish partner, the Fundación Centro de Educación a Distancia para el Desarrollo Económico y Tecnológico (CEDDET),  are pleased to invite you to apply for participation in the fourth edition of the online course, Legal Instruments of International Economic Relations and Regional Integration, offered in collaboration with Vi core Spanish member, the University of Barcelona.

Designed from an interdisciplinary and policy-oriented perspective, the six-module training aims to provide academics and policymakers with a "must-have toolbox" of the basic elements of international economic law. The full program, which runs June 6 to August 4, is available in the course prospectus.

Full tuition for the course is ?450. To qualify for a reduced fee of ?360, payment must be made no later than March 25.
