The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the World Trade Organization (WTO) invite applications from teachers of intellectual property (IP) from developing countries and countries with economies in transition to participate in their upcoming colloquium to be held in Geneva June 17-28.
The two-week programme will cover elements of IP law and policy, and explore the relationship between IP and economic development, public health, competition policy, transfer of technology, and genetic resources, among other areas. Teaching, training and research of the topic will also be discussed. The course will be delivered in English.
The 22 participants will be chosen from among applicants with at least five years' teaching experience who have an advanced degree and teaching experience in intellectual property law or international law/economics/management with a specialization in intellectual property. WIPO and the WTO will cover travel, accomodation and subsistence costs.
To apply, complete the online application form no later than March 31.
