NAPSIPAG Conference @ Jawaharlal Nehru University
NAPSIPAG [Network of Asia Pacific Schools and Institutions of Public Administration and Governance] is the only non-west 'governance research network' in the Asia Pacific. It is located at Centre for the Study of Law & Governance, J.N.U. Since a decade NAPSIPAG has acted as a forum for coming together of best minds in the area of Public Administration and Governance from all over the Asia Pacific region. Its 10th Annual Conference "Locked in Growth Patterns: Rethinking land management and disasters for the post-2015 Development Agenda for the Asia Pacific", is scheduled during 7-9 December 2013, in partnership with ICSSR, UNDP, NDMA & IMG, Kerala.
On the successful completion of ten years of NAPSIPAG, Our distinguished guest, Mr. Jairam Ramesh, Ministry of Rural Development will launch NYSAF [NAPSIPAG Young Scholars and Researchers Forum] under the aegis's of NAPSIPAG, Centre for the Study of Law & Governance, JNU. Also, Ms. Lise Grande, UN resident coordinator and UNDP representative India, will distribute awards to the governance & public administration scholars in the Asia Pacific. Ms. Stuti Kacker, Department of Disability Affairs, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment will head the special 'Disability Round Table Panel' as part of the conference.
The conference will be addressed by Prof. Sudhir K Sopory, Vice Chancellor JNU, Prof. S K Thorat, Chairperson ICSSR New Delhi, Prof. David H Rosenbloom, distinguished professor USA, Excellency Afghanistan Ambassador Mr. Shaida Md. Abdali and Excellency Kazakhstan Ambassador Mr. Daulat O Kuanshev. There are many distinguished scholars and practitioners from the ministry, Administrators, UNDP, Ambassadors, 'Disaster Relief Commissioners' from Asia Pacific Region and Indian government who are participating in the conference.
Also, we are organizing a pre-conference poster competition on the same theme for college students on the 5th of December'2013. All these posters will be displayed around the conference venue and the winners will be awarded .
