MASTERS & DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES IN PUBLIC HEALTH
Applications are invited for the full-time residential programmes commencing in January 2013 at the Achutha Menon Centre for Health Science Studies, the public health wing of Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum.
MPH: Masters Programme in Public Health Instituted in 1997 and recognised by the Medical Council of India, the MPH Programme is designed to build knowledge, skills and attitude for better public health practice and research. Our graduates are currently placed in governance and research positions within India and abroad, UN organizations and national/
international NGOs.
WHO CAN APPLY: Medical Graduates (MBBS), Dental Graduates, Graduates in Veterinary Sciences, Nursing Sciences or those with Postgraduate degree in Statistics/ Biostatistics/ Demography and Population Studies/Nutrition/Social Sciences/Social Work or allied specialties
? Knowledge of English essential.
? Upper age limit is 40 years as on 1st of January 2013.
Five Scholarships available on the basis of merit: Three with total fee waiver and monthly fellowship of Rs.5000; Two with total fee waiver.
DPH: Diploma Programme in Public Health
The DPH Programme is offered only to medical graduates (Modern Medicine) working under Government and sponsored by Central or State Governments. The sixty-odd medical professionals who got trained from 1999 have gone on to assume greater responsibilities and leadership positions.
