The Centre for Development Finance (CDF) is an action research think tank focused on improving governments' and markets' capacity to channel finance into sustainable, holistic development. It is one of the seven research centres affiliated with the Institute for Financial Management and Research (IFMR) in Chennai, India.CDF is seeking to hire dynamic research professionals for the
following positions based in Chennai, India:
1. Sr. Researcher ? Environmentally Sustainable Finance: The individual will lead the group's efforts to coordinate and manage the
Environmental Sustainability Index (ESI) and related projects. ESI is a comparative analysis of environmental challenges and priorities among Indian states. ESI aggregates quantitative data on multiple environmental indicators into a composite index that provides the overall picture of state-level sustainability. It is designed to sensitize, inform and empower citizens and policy makers. More information on ESI is available at www.greenindiastandards.com
2. Sr. Consultant ? Environmentally Sustainable Finance: The individual will lead the group's efforts to provide strategic advice to
companies so they are better equipped to face the challenges of climate change and take advantage of the opportunities that are
emerging in a changing climate and business scenario. The incumbent will work with a team of researchers in understanding the
challenges to GHG reporting in India and work with various stakeholders in creating a national registry and also support the Program Head in growing ESF's consulting practice with industries & clusters to advise them on resource efficiency & green supply chains
