ANSAB (Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources) is an international non-governmental organization with its headquarters in Kathmandu. Established in 1992, ANSAB is committed to biodiversity conservation and economic development through community-based enterprise oriented solutions. ANSAB has been working in the field of pro-poor economic development, natural resource management, biodiversity conservation, ecosystem services, and climate change. 
ANSAB is currently seeking qualified, dynamic and result-oriented persons for the following positions:

 
1. PROGRAM OFFICER - (Biodiversity, Ecosystem Services and Climate Change) - 1


Required Qualifications and Competences

·      Master's degree in the forestry with at least 3 years of experience in participatoryforestry and environmental research;

·      Sound knowledge and understanding of the forestry, climate change and PES including REDD+ and adaptation issues; 

·      A strong aptitude and ability to communicate both informally (interpersonal skills and networking) and formally (presentations);

·      Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours as required;

·      Project management experience (development and implementation of work plans, financial and technical management of contracts, supervision of consultants, liaison with relevant stakeholders, etc.);

·      Experience in project development and resource mobilization;

·      Skillful in facilitating stakeholders' workshops, meetings and trainings;

·      Capable in stakeholders/ partners coordination, team management and prudent decision making;

·      Coordinate, support and monitor the overall project activities implemented in collaboration with the partners;

·      Experiences/strong interest in program designing and fundraising;

·      Excellent written and spoken English and Nepali. 

 

2. AGRICULTURIST

 

Required Qualifications and Competences

·      Masters' degree in agriculture preferably agriculture economics, organic agriculture, horticulture or related subjects from the reputed university;

·      Good understanding on the socio-economic and environmental issues of Nepalese agriculture;

·      Experiences/strong interest in program designing and fundraising;

·      Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills in English and Nepali;

·      Sound skill on proposal and report writing;

·      Prior work experience will be an added value for this position;
