IV National Seminar, The Enigma of Pain

7-9 March 2013; Venue: IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai

This seminar is part of a series initiated by the Centre that undertakes critical interventions on philosophical topics not easily graspable because of their subtle enigmatic implications and will take as its point of departure the book by American writer and scholar David B. Morris entitled The Culture of Pain. Dr. Morris will deliver the keynote address.

Deadline for Application

The last date for receiving the proposal for participation and 300 words abstract: December 20, 2012. The abstract may be sent as an email attachment to Professor P. C. Kar

([email protected]). The last date for registration: 15 January 2013. Last date for receiving the full paper: 15 February 2013. Each participant is required to pay a

registration fee of Rs. 1,500/- through a DD payable to Balvant Parekh Centre for General Semantics and Other Human Sciences in Baroda. For accommodation in Mumbai,
