Fourth International Ubiquitous Learning Conference 11 - 12 November 2011 University of California, Berkeley, USA
The Ubiquitous Learning Conference is an inclusive forum for the examination of how new technologies impact the practices and
possibilities of learning. It considers the ways in which these technologies might benefit learning not only in the classroom but well beyond the times and places traditionally considered the purview of education.
The arrival of new technologies does not mean that learning has to change; learning should only change for learning's sake. However, the perspective of the conference is that these new technologies can serve to interrogate current educational practices and provide new possibilities to address changing learning needs.
This year's Ubiquitous Learning Conference will feature the following plenary speakers:
? Kimiko Ryokai, Professor, School of Information and Center for New Media, University of California, Berkeley, USA
? Lindsay Davidson, Professor and Chair of Teaching and Learning, Queens University, Canada
? Al Weiss, Director of Educational Technology and Curricular Innovation, Pacific University, USA
The Ubiquitous Learning Conference also welcomes paper proposals from a wide range of professionals interested in the impact of technology on leaning, such as: teachers and university faculty, policy makers, technology developers and researchers, and school and university administrators.
