Dr. B.R. AMBEDKAR POST DOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP 2011-12
Centre for Multi-disciplinary Development Research (CMDR), Dharwad under the financial assistance from Government of Karnataka invites applications from eligible Scheduled Caste candidates for the award of Dr.B R Ambedkar Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) to write a research paper or to undertake small studies on social exclusion.
Eligibility : The scholar must have Ph.D Degree in Social Science
Age Limit : The upper age limit for PDF is 40 years as on 1st July 2011
Value: The maximum Fellowship amount will be Rs.1,00,000 (Rs.one lakhs only) inclusive of travel costs, contingencies and costs of accommodation.
Duration of Fellowship : Three Months
Number of Fellowship : One (1)
Fellowship Conditions :
1. Only the candidate short listed by CMDR will be considered for the award of fellowship,
2. The fellowship amount will be released in the following three installments on the basis of satisfactory progress of work as assessed by CMDR.
i. 40% as first installment on initiation of the study on the theme approved by CMDR,
ii. 40% as second installment on production of interim report,
iii. 20% as final installment on submission of the final report of the study.
3. The final report received from the scholar will be sent to a reviewer for suggestions and comments,
4. The scholar has to present a seminar on the study on a mutually convenient date,
5. The finalized report completed under the fellowship after incorporating all the comments of the review and received in the seminar shall be considered for publication as a CMDR monograph and Centre reserves the right to publish completed manuscript.
6. Only after two sets of the finalized copy of the report is submitted to CMDR, the balance amount of 20% fellowship amount will be released.
A concept note on any theme under social exclusion with specified format of application duly filled in should reach the I/c Director, Centre for Multi-disciplinary Development Research (CMDR), Near Yalakki Shettar Colony, Dharwad ? 580004 not later than 15th December 2011.
The Centre reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason.
