IBS Hyderabad: IBS Hyderabad, a constituent of the Icfai Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), a Deemed to be University offers high quality programs in different areas of management to a wide cross-section of students, executives and professionals across India. IBS Hyderabad has a reputation for innovative program design and delivery, quality courseware, personalized instruction, strong industry interface, research, consultancy and publications. Within a short span of time since its establishment in 1995, IBS, Hyderabad has grown impressively and achieved widespread recognition from industry, academic circles, and professional bodies. IBS, Hyderabad has also been consistently ranked among the top B-Schools in the country.

Call for Participation: The 1st, 2nd and 3rd Doctoral Theses Conferences, which were held, during last three years received encouraging response across the globe from various doctoral students that are in the verge of completion of thesis and completed. We have also brought out a volume of the proceedings each year. We would like to continue conducting the conference to provide a platform for the research scholars from all over the country to present their Doctoral work in the area of Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations Research, Information Technology, Marketing, Accounting, Insurance, Psychology and General Management. All those scholars (may be a Full time/part-time research scholars/practitioners working for Ph.D.) who are pursuing their Ph.D. program or nearing completion of their work or have just submitted and awaiting for  viva voce examination or have recently completed, are eligible to participate. The aspirants are requested to submit papers from their ongoing/completed Ph.D. work. The scholars who are going to complete or already completed their Ph.D. work are requested to submit full paper pertaining to his or her thesis.

Objectives of the conference:

1.    To give feedback for the research scholars who are in the process of submitting their thesis.

2.    To be the platform for intellectual interaction.

3.    To identify the gap between theory and practice and to fill the gap with suitable suggestions.

Prominent professors in the respective fields will review all the submissions and comment on the content of the thesis as well as on the presentation. Research scholars will have 20 minutes to present their research, focusing on the main theme of their thesis, what they have achieved so far, and how they plan to continue their work including questions and discussion.

Research scholars participating in the Doctoral Theses Conference should submit their full length research output containing:

·      Research question

·      Significant problems in the field of research

·      Summarize the current knowledge of the problem domain, as well as the state of art solutions

·      Clearly present any preliminary research plans and ideas, and the results achieved so far

·      Sketch the research methodology that is to be applied or used

·      expected contributions of the scholar in the respective research area

·      (For technical research), Describe how the research is innovative, novel or extends existing approaches to a problem

All submissions should be sent through e-mail in PDF or word document format to [email protected] or [email protected] Submissions will be judged on originality, significance, correctness, and clarity. Around 80 to 100 Ph.D. research scholars only will be selected to participate and present their work, subject to the approval of the reviewers.

For full time Research Scholars: No registration fee is charged for the full time research scholars who are selected to present their doctoral thesis. Sleeper class fare (non-ac to and fro) will be reimbursed. (For exemption of registration fee ? the research scholar has to submit a certificate of bonafide candidature as a full-time research scholar duly signed by the Dean/Head of the respective department)

For Part time Research Scholars: Rs.1000/- will be charged towards registration fee for the Part time research scholars who are selected to present their doctoral thesis. 

For Foreign Research Scholars: INR 2000 will be charged for the foreign research scholars who are selected to present their doctoral thesis. No travel reimbursement will be made by the university.

For Delegates: A nominal registration fee of Rs.1000 will be charged for other than paper presenters and the university will not provide any accommodation, travel or conveyance to them.

Note: The accommodation will be provided on first come first serve basis.
