Social Sciences
Hi ! I'm Javi, and that is my Social Science class.
The class started with the explanation of the two confronted sides of Russia, the White army( part of the army, the aristocracy and some peasants) and the Red army, comanded by Trovtky and he movilized five million soldiers and ordered the requisition of the food ( War Communism ), all the resources were controlled by the State, the food that were requised and redistributed to the goberments order. Those who resisted to requisitions were executed
The consequences were:
- 5 million people die.
- Development of the blackmarket, and alternative market for products that couldn't be found in the official markets and exist until 1991
Then, the teacher has spoken about the creation of the USRR, the Union of Soviets Socialist Republics, and it conformed by 11 republics.
It was a Totalitarian State:
-One single party system
-No division of powers
-Those who opposed to the goberment was persecuted and punised
She explained the slide 16 of the presentation about the structure of power in the USSR:
After the civil war, the economic system was completaly destroyed and Lenin decided to introduce some changes to recover it
The New Economic Policy (NEP)
-Lenin defined it as a State capitalism
-Privalization of lands and small factories
-The State kept the control of the big industries, banks and foreing trade
With this changes, the economy recovered really fast.
Too, we have added some new words to the glossary:
Collegiate --> Colegiado Ballor --> Papeleta de voto Ballot box --> Urna Force --> Farsa
